Sunflower Festival 2026
December 19 – 20 | The Neighbours Farm, Stellenbosch
Walk through fields of sunflowers in full bloom, soak up the summer sun, sip on wine, and make golden memories. Join us for a once-a-year celebration of nature, food, music, and community.
About the Festival
Founded by Dan Enslin, the farm is built on three pillars: regenerating the soil, supporting biodiversity, and connecting people to their food. That now includes farm-to-table dining, a self-catering stay at The Homestead, pick-your-own harvests, and seasonal events, with the Sunflower Festival as the flagship.
The Sunflower Festival started as a way to bring the community together for a wholesome day outdoors, and has become a recurring highlight on the farm’s calendar. It reflects what The Neighbours Farm has always been about: an authentic, community-driven space where visitors feel like they’ve simply popped in on a neighbour.
After a sold-out debut, the Sunflower Festival returns bigger for 2026: two days across an expanded planting with new sunflower colour varieties, a larger vendor lineup, and a dedicated kids’ area with a petting zoo. It remains, at heart, a slow, joyful day outdoors a farm experience, a picnic, and a photo opportunity in one.

“The first Sunflower Festival sold out faster than we expected, and it told us people are hungry for exactly this: slow days outdoors, connected to real food and real land. This year we’ve grown the fields, added more colour, more to eat and drink, and a space built for our youngest visitors, so there’s even more reason to spend the weekend with us.”
